Remove my panel and connect everything correctly but the buttons don't work
Double check the plug is fully seated in the mating plug I've had that happen to me a couple times

to get rid of the part-time light should I just push the cable all the way in and then turn the ignition on so it will read that it’s in 2 wheel drive . because my part-time light has been stuck on and I was wondering if anybody knows how to fix
Sometimes the switch that is on the side of the transfer case goes bad and causes the PT 4WD light to stay on in your dash the best thing to do is check that B4 you adjust your linkage because it could be your switch is not working
Where did you get your 12 v constant power
the harness pulls the constant 12v from the oem harness in the truck if you don't have 12v on the yellow wire then i would start checking fuses for the radio and if no luck you can go to the distro block under the drivers dash and get constant there good luck

The factory radio has 12v constant in the plug but you will not have keyed power in either one of the plugs that you need to find someplace else under the dash
My door goes up then comes back down? Like the motor doesn't stop fully open. It goes up makes a grinding noise and comes back down and licks? Has to be the motor???
Sometimes the lift struts start to go bad and that will make that happen because of how heavy the door is the motor can't hold it up I would start by replacing the lift struts and go from there
205k miles, i believe it's the starter. Replacing tomorrow.

You can probably get it from the dealership they can use the vin and look it up for you and get you the number of the parts
what do you do when you cant get the lift gate OPEN?
If I remember correctly there's a cover you can pop off the interior plastic on the lift gate and you should be able to get a tool in and pop it open
Do you think an adjustment would solve the "part time light intermittenly flickering off and on even thougth I'm in 2 wheel drive" issue? I changed the sensor on the transfer case and the wiring and connector to the sensor appeared to be fine. I also noticed my O/D light doesn't work either. Wondering if the probelsms are related somehow. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I know there's a way to do a bulb check on the cluster I don't remember how but that will allow you to see if the O/D light is still functional as for the flickering PT light you could try adjusting it one rotation at a time I would turn it towards the dash so that the transfer case cable should more in to 2WD

Was your horn working or not working before this? My Fiero horn keeps "locking" and won't stop until I disconnect power , is this a fix for a stuck horn?
My horn was working before hand but your car might have a stuck button on one of the doors or a short to ground in a door boot you can pull the plug on the relay on the a pillar on the passenger side under the dash

I did upgrade to a double din pioneer later on and loved it but I did this just shortly after I got the truck I have sold the truck and I miss that truck so bad too

Do you have a stereo install for the 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ with Bose system my dash doesn’t look like that just wonder if it’s different to uninstall the factory stereo
it is similar just the trim comes off differently it's like the radio install of a tahoe just when you remove the trim just use a panel tool and start on the side but be extra careful at the bottom of the trim they are held on by the same style clips as shown here and that plastic is kinda thin and will brake easy the clip is dead center of the bottom other then that the install is the same

Hello sir! I have the expensive harness for everything that comes with the plugs and rcas. But what I’m wondering is does the factory amp need to be plugged in? I have mine unplugged when I put it all togather and it has no signal. Doesn’t even pick it up from the rear dvd. Any ideas?
If your factory amp is not connected there's nothing driving the speakers unless you bypass the amp but once you do that you should have sound from the player

Is that square gm box thing you have needed, also my radio won’t stay on without this red wire being connected to my phone plug in
the pac rp5 is the harness and you don't really need it that gives you power to the red wire when you turn your truck on it also retains the warning chimes and your turn signal sound also. if you wanted to save some money you can find a switched power in the truck i know there is a junction box under the drivers dash you can get power from that will come on and turn off with the key (do at own risk) the red wire needs to go a switched power source one that turns on and off with the key

You didnt show nothing u did it is why people are confused u put part but it dodnt show nothing or what to do to the aux cord to connect to the green and brown wires
What you do is take an aux cord and cut one end off and put it to the brown and green wires and run the bare wire (ground) to a metal part of the dash and it will work

You can go to harbor freight and get some panel removal tools and those are a lifesaver for things like this

How did you end up fixing the issue with the glove compartment since it was always getting stuck shut and wouldn’t open often with the button
it sounds like that the motor is either weak and not able to open it or the latch has a problem i was working on something different at the time of this

It was to keep the video from being to long but if you take out the backing of the radio housing it gives you more room

Sorry for the late reply but what you need to do is run a video cable from the radio to the unit and connect it to the yellow RCA jack but if you want to keep all wires hidden then just take the unit down and solder it to the back of the jack on the board for the RCA's

I wanted to say this guy is a genius I just did that myself and I’m a female on my car which it was not working very good when I bought the car but it was manageable and then it stopped working in the state I am that would sell you if your windows are not working, you would never pass inspection I just did it and I want just to say I usually never leave comments on any videos. this guy is a genius guys try this before you buy.
